Tour Overview...

The North of England has so much to offer sightseers and with a Kingdom Day Tour we can ensure you take in the very best it has to offer. This tour is especially popular if you are a sports fan as the City of Manchester boasts two of the largest football clubs in the world!

Popular Locations

Some amazing attractions (and of course not all football related) await you in this fully customisable tour of Northern England. Whilst we highly recommend a trip to Manchester or Liverpool, you may even have your own destination in mind. Please contact us if this is the case and we will do our very best to accommodate your tour requirements.

Options available for the Northern England Tour include:

Manchester United / Manchester City Stadium

Thrive on a stadium tour of Manchester United (Old Trafford) or Manchester City (Etihad Stadium) where you will get behind the scenes access to the dressing room, tunnel, players' dugout, infamous trophy cabinets and shop for merchandise in the club store. Plus if you book your tour on a home match day we can even arrange for you to see an actual game to soak up and experience the action and drama of the beautiful game (subject to availability).

National Football Museum

Based in the Manchester City Centre the infamous National Football Museum preserves, conserves and displays important collections of football memorabilia. A must see for fans of football this museum is the world's biggest and best football museum, telling the stories of the game of our lives. You won't want to miss this attraction!

Heaton Hall House

A magnificent 18th Century country house set in Heaton Park's rolling landscape. It was the family seat of the Egerton family and remains one of the North West's most impressive and important buildings. Its principal rooms have been beautifully restored and furnished, giving visitors an insight into life at Heaton in the late 18th and early 19th Century.

Imperial War Museum North

Explore a timeline of conflicts from the First World War to the current day at IWM North. Get up close to objects that have borne witness to conflict and hear how war shapes lives through extraordinary stories of ordinary people. Immerse yourself in personal memories of life on the home and fighting fronts, in a powerful and poignant 360° cinematic experience and uncover themes of modern conflict through art, photography and interactive displays.

Manchester Cathedral

Visit the impressive cathedral to experience this historical monument in all its glory. The main body of the cathedral is in the Perpendicular Gothic style. James Stanley (warden 1485–1506) was responsible for the late-medieval wooden furnishings, including the pulpitum, choir stalls and the nave roof supported by angels. The medieval church was extensively restored and extended in the Victorian period, and again following bomb damage in the 20th century.

The John Rylands Library

A late-Victorian neo-Gothic building on Deansgate in Manchester, England. The library is free to visit and opened to the public in 1900, founded by Enriqueta Augustina Rylands in memory of her husband, John Rylands. Special collections, believed to be among the largest in the UK include medieval illuminated manuscripts and examples of early European printing, including a Gutenberg Bible, the second largest collection of printing by William Caxton, and the most extensive collection of the editions of the Aldine Press of Venice.

Trafford Centre Shopping

Why not treat yourself to a few hours shopping in The Trafford Centre, the largest indoor shopping centre and leisure complex in Greater Manchester, England. It has a vast array of shops and attractions which are bound to catch your eye and tempt you into some retail therapy. A great way to soak up the local culture if you are a shopaholic!

Lunch

During your private tour, our driver guide will be happy to give you a number of options for you to choose from for lunch from a traditional English Pub or a classic English tea room.
